The Factor Ski Boots by Black Diamond is the stiffest freeride boot in the Black Diamond line for adults. The Factor is the ultimate combination of backcountry and alpine boots. The AT Power Fit liner is the stiffest, tallest AT liner with maximum lateral reinforcement and tongue reinforcement. The Triax-Pro frame provides increased axial power and Black Diamond's stiffest forward flex for powerful, high performance alpine-like control. The shell and cuff are constructed of Pebax, which offers a lighter weight (20% less) with equivalent stiffness to more common, urethane-based materials. Pebax is also much more thermally stable, which provides a more consistent flex over a wider range of temperatures.
